Diesel Technician
Full-time

You Will:
● Perform routine maintenance, scheduled preventive maintenance (PM work), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for Class 6-8 trucks.
● Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck equipment including but not limited to: Electrical/brake/cooling systems, Starters/alternators, Air conditioning systems Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Power steering systems, Engines (diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, differentials, etc.
● Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using various diagnostic tools like handheld computers and pressure gauges.
● Thoroughly and accurately document and upload pictures of diagnostics, work performed, and parts used.
● Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
● Manage parts inventory and equipment provided and perform periodic reconciliation.
● Maintain a high level of productivity while working with a high degree of independence; you’ll manage your daily schedule
● Complete any other tasks as assigned.
● Establish and maintain good working relationships with assigned customers and vendors. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Requirements For This Position Include:
● Minimum 3 years of experience as a diesel technician on Class 6–8 vehicles.
● Valid driver’s license required. CDL-A/CDL-Class 1 is preferred but not required.
● High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education. Technical school is a plus.
● Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions.
● Excellent verbal communication skills: you must be able to effectively communicate with customers and drivers.
● Proficiency in the use of mobile devices, mobile applications, and email to document repairs and communicate with other team members. Ability and willingness to learn new platforms and adjust to changes within the industry.
● Must be able to lift at least 75lbs.
● Demonstrated ability to work independently, multitask, and apply initiative.
● Must possess a positive attitude, good instincts, and self-motivation.
● Be safety conscious.
● Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of tasks.
● Proficiency in and ability to obtain certificates for DOT inspections and air brake repairs.
Shift Schedule:
- Full Time
- 40 hours per week
